During the entire unit, our students will keep a nutrition journal. Our students will record everything they eat during the week so that they can reflect on their nutritional habits at the end of the unit. We want our students to be able to apply what they will learn about how nutrition affects the body by analyzing their own diets. We will ask our students to find a point for improvement in their diets, discuss why they need improvement (with respect to body systems), and explain what they will do to make the change. The students will complete the following graphic organizer throughout the week:
